Cert Prep & Exam Vouchers

Advance Your Career

You can earn key certifications while earning your degree. You can earn key certifications whether or not you are in a degree program.

Earning your degree is the foundation for a successful career and a secure future. However, earning key certifications has become just as important as graduating with an accredited degree. So we'll help you prepare to earn both at the same time or earn a certification only... No matter if you are a current student or an alumnus, this opportunity is extended to you.

Why Get Certified?

Earning a certification demonstrates your skills are current and that you are willing to learn new things. A certification provides credibility and validation as it shows your proficiency in a certain skill; certifications are an unbiased measurement. There is also a marketability factor. You never know when you might need to use your certification as a marketable tool or stepping stone to a better career. And a certification is an inexpensive option to furthering your education in your chosen field.

Key Steps to Earning Your Certification.

  1. A certification exam may require prerequisite exams or time spent in the profession. Review this requirements document for complete details about certification(s) you are interested in.
  2. To review which exam preparation option suits you best see “Three Options To Getting Certified” below.
  3. Select and purchase an exam prep course at a DISCOUNT if available. See Available Certifications below and the “Exam Prep Try It” column for the partner exam prep provider (Not all certifications offer a “Try It” option).
  4. Select and purchase an exam voucher at a DISCOUNT if available. See Save On Exam Voucher below. When purchasing an exam voucher, instructions are provided about where to register for the exam.
  5. If additional assistance is needed, contact your Advisor for help for help or see "Need More Information?" below.

Three Options to Getting Certified.

  1. Students can enroll in a Strayer course that in addition to providing academic credit, offers optional certification content. Coursework is aligned with the respective certification. The table below lists the Strayer courses and the optional embedded certification content.

  2. Students or alumni that would like to gain any certification without taking the associated course, and instead take an exam prep course, can simply register with our partner certification providers - where available.

  3. Students or alumni interested in registering for the exam only, without taking the Strayer course or preparatory exam(s), can purchase a voucher, if available, and register to take the exam(s).
